PSI−Management Certificate

Solving Safety Problems

This course provides the opportunity for students to practice the practical application of techniques gained throughout the entire Safety Management Specialist series-preparing students to solve safety problems professionally. Students practice newly acquired skills using real-life safety management problems as case studies. Students will be encouraged to seek solutions while exploring what comprises a successful safety program.

Elements critical for successful safety program management are reviewed in this course. The primary focus is continually on applying these factors to the students own organizations. The course includes a safety committee problem-solving template for those students who use or want to use safety committees.

Finally, students have the opportunity to review a selection of quantitative and qualitative safety program evaluation techniques including modern problem-solving tools that can be applied to almost any safety issue in the work environment.

Who Should Attend:

Courses are designed for beginners and for seasoned safety professionals. Professional Safety Institute courses may be taken individually or as part of certified programs. Students are strongly encouraged to take Establishing a Successful Safety Program or Selling Safety before taking any other Professional Safety Institute course.
