Ladder Safety

The importance of ladder safety is too often overlooked, until it is too late. Ladders continue to be the most used and abused piece of equipment at a work-site. Participants of this course will be taught the skills needed to safely select and use step ladders and extension ladders through practical skills instruction.

Course topics include:

Setting up ladders
Inspections
Associated hazards
Maintenance/storage
Climbing/descending properly
Weight capabilities
Related general industry equipment
Electrical hazards

Who should attend:

Anyone and everyone that works on or around ladders in their workplace or even at home.
