Registration Information

Excavator Trainer Certification

During this 4-day course, trainees are given extensive information on instructional techniques and equipment theory in a fun and interactive format that has them deliver classroom presentations and run practical training and evaluation sessions in the field. Each element of the trainer program is evaluated and documented. Only trainees who are able to successfully demonstrate the required knowledge and skill are qualified as IVES Certified Trainers. The program addresses light to medium duty units in the 2,500 - 50,000 lb. gross vehicle weight range. The equipment used for practical training and evaluating exercises during the program are mini/compact types.

Who should attend:

This program is designed for trainees that have experience working with the equipment addressed and want to become instructors on this equipment.

*It is strongly recommended that trainees attend the Competent Person Excavation course that follows this program.
