CalOSHA Residential Construction

Who Should Attend:

Supervisors and foremen directly responsible for implementing the Injury and Illness Program on a daily basis on the job site.

Overview:

This course is designed to educate foremen & supervisors on daily responsibilities for accident prevention on the work site in the construction trades. Participants will come away form this class with greater confidence and skills in communicating safety effectively. All participants will receive quick reference materials that can be kept at the worksite and a Cal/OSHA/Safety Center certificate. This course covers the eight elements of the Injury and Illness Program (IIPP):

1. Accident Prevention and Investigation

2. Hazard Assessment (Find)

3. Hazard Correction (Fix)

4. Responsibility

5. Communication

6. Training

7. Compliance

8. Recordkeeping

A Train the Trainer version of this course is also available as an on-site course.
