Aerial Lift Trainer Certification

Presented by IVES Training Group, this four-day course is designed to deliver in-depth instruction on aerial equipment as well as extensive instruction on how to effectively train operators. Equipment covered: Aerial Boom Lift - “Straight Mast” (telescoping) Boom, Articulated (knuckle) Boom, and Aerial Work Platform - Scissor Lift and Vertical Lift. Classroom theory & practical hands-on theory is 50/50.

• Applicable regulation & industry standards

• Equipment pre-use inspection

• Hands on evaluation training

• Documentation/certification process

• Establishing a site & equipment specific operator training program & lesson plan

Trainees are strongly encouraged to bring their own safety harness and lanyard to this program.

Who should attend:

Individuals who want to become trainers of aerial boomlifts and/or aerial work platforms (scissor lift). Formal operator certification is not necessary to enroll in this class. However, a basic working knowledge of the equipment is beneficial.

Prerequisites:

It is recommended that trainees have experience working on or with the equipment addressed. The Aerial Lifts Operator Reference Manual must be read and the quizzes completed prior to class participation (manual sent out a minimum of one week in advance of program start date). As a portion of the program will be outdoors, trainees should wear appropriate clothing and steel-toed shoes, if possible.
