J.A.D.E. Juvenile Alcohol & Drug Education and Tobacco Education

Teens develop a plan to prevent long-term substance abuse

Teens develop a plan for changing behavior to reach long-term goals

  • Recognizing & resisting the pressure to drink alcohol & use drugs

  • Understanding the consequences of long-term substance abuse

  • Taking responsibility for their actions and for changing their behavior

  • Developing goals and strategies for making better choices in the future

JADE J.A.D.E. Alcohol & Drug Education helps teens make better choices in the future
  • Recognize internal & external pressures to use & develop resistance strategies

  • Understand fact-based information about the dangers of substance abuse

  • Decide what they are going to do to change behavior in the future

  • Set goals with parents to get their support in achieving positive outcomes

J.A.D.E. is a 10-hour program, completed in two-hour sessions over five consecutive weeks.  Parents of teens under 18 years of age are required to attend Sessions 1 & 5.

Tobacco Education

  • Understand the harmful effects of tobacco & other substance abuse

  • Make decisions that will prevent long-term addiction to tobacco

The Tobacco Education class is a 2-hour program scheduled once a month.
