Annual Family Safety & Health Expo - June 14,  2008

Safetyville USA, a program of the Safety Center Incorporated, presents its 10th Annual Family Safety & Health Expo on Saturday, June 14th from 10 am – 3 pm at Safetyville USA, 3909 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. Admission is FREE to the public. Over 80 informational booths and interactive displays focusing on health, safety and youth recreation activities will be on site.

Safety Center Safetyville Family Safety and Health ExpoHosting the Family Safety and Health Expo is Darla Givens of News10 and Jennifer Steele of Mix 96. Come and enjoy live entertainment on stage of magic by Professional Magician, Trevor Wyatt, martial arts by Kovar’s Satori Academy and dance performances by Granite Bay Safety Center Safetyville Family Safety and Health ExpoDance Connection. There will also be raffles, food booths, safety and health giveaways plus the chance to meet and visit with local law enforcement and fire department representatives.

Shriner’s Hospital will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 pm for the unveiling of their new building in Safetyville USA, during the Family Safety and Health Expo.

The Family Safety & Health Expo is designed to give families’ easy access to the health, safety and recreation resources that are available in our community. Over 3,000 people are expected to attend and participate in the activities. For more information call (916) 366-7233 x202 or x203.

Safetyville USA, a program of the Safety Center Incorporated, will present its 18th Annual Halloween Haunt on Saturday, October 25th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at Safetyville USA, 3909 Bradshaw Road. Safetyville USA Halloween Haunt at Safety Center, Sacramento, CaliforniaAdmission is $5.00 per person (children 2 and under are free). Admission price includes 5 tickets good for food, drink or games. The miniature village takes on a harvest festival theme and provides activities and fun for the entire family in a SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Safetyville USA Halloween Haunt, Safety Center, Sacramento CaliforniaOver 2,500 people are expected to join in the festivities hosted by guest celebrities from News10 and Mix 96. Activities for the day include performances by magician Trevor Wyatt and other stage shows and demonstrations. There will also be music, games, food, prizes, a fortune-teller, face painters, raffles and much more. Participants may have the opportunity to meet Dinger, the River Cats’ mascot, as well as other costumed characters. Kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume and take part in the Costume Parade. 

The first Halloween Haunt was produced in 1991 as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating.  Since then, the event has grown tremendously in size and popularity.  Halloween Haunt is a great family event that offers fun and entertainment for all ages.  Proceeds benefit Safetyville USA, a private, not-for-profit children’s safety training center.  For more information call (916) 366-7233 ext. 202.

Safetyville USA presented the 7th annual Taste of the Little City. The streets of the miniature city of Safetyville USA were lined with the best Don't miss this exciting event -- Purchase your Safetyville Taste of the Little City tickets online! local restaurants, the region’s top wineries and the area’s famous microbreweries.  The public was invited to sample the Sacramento area’s finest at the charming Safetyville USA site.  A premier silent auction filled with exceptional items, together with live music by Sacramento Banjo Band and guest celebrity emcees from News10 & Mix96, rounded out the evening’s activities.

Safetyville USA Taste of the Little City Wine TastingProceeds from the event benefit the non-profit youth safety education program at Safetyville USA. This unique program offers children, ages preschool through third grade, hands-on safety skill training with the goal of preventing needless injuries and deaths through early safety education.  For program details please contact us.
