Taste of the Little City - May 14, 2009 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

First, we would like to thank you for your support at last year’s 7th Annual Taste of the Little City and we look forward to seeing you again at our fabulous 8th Annual Taste of the Little City on May 14th, 2009. On Thursday, May 14th, 2009, Safetyville USA will present the 8th annual Taste of the Little City here at Safetyville. The streets of the miniature city of Safetyville USA will be lined with the BEST of our region’s Restaurants, Wineries and Breweries, where the adults get to play and are invited to sample the Sacramento area’s finest cuisine and beverages at this annual fundraiser for Safetyville’s Youth Programs! We will have a premier Silent Auction filled with exceptional items and two special Silent Auction Wine Rooms. Join Guest Celebrity MC’s Dave Thomson from Mix 96 and Darla Givens from News 10 as they guide you through the evening’s activities. Proceeds from the event benefit the non-profit youth safety education program at Safetyville USA. This unique program offers children (preschool through 3rd Grade), hands-on safety skill & health training. We offer tours to schools and rent out the facility for birthday parties. Annual Family Safety & Health Expo - June 13,  2009 10 am - 3 pm

Safetyville USA, is celebrating our 25th Birthday this year with a party at our 11th Annual Family Safety & Health Expo on Saturday, June 13th from 10 am – 3 pm at Safetyville USA - 3909 Bradshaw Road in Sacramento. Admission is FREE to the public. Come and join us for cake and a party as celebrity guests help us introduce our new Safetyville Mascot! This year at the Family Safety & Health Expo you can expect to find over 80 Informational Booths and Interactive Displays focusing on Health, Safety and Family Recreational Activities. We will also have Raffles, Giveaways and Much More! Hosting the Family Safety and Health Expo this year- Darla Givens of News10 and Jennifer Wood from Mix 96.1 FM. Come and enjoy live entertainment, such as Professional Magician, Trevor Wyatt, Martial Arts by Kovar’s Satori Academy and Dance Performances by Granite Bay Dance Connection. You will also have a chance to meet and visit with local Law Enforcement and Fire Department Representatives. The Family Safety & Health Expo is designed to give your Family Valuable information and easy access to some of the Health, Safety and Recreation Resources that are available in our community. JOIN THE HAUNT AT SAFETYVILLE USA October 24, 2009 11-4

Safetyville USA, a program of Safety Center Incorporated, will present its 19th Annual Halloween Haunt on Saturday, October 24th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at Safetyville USA, 3909 Bradshaw Road. Admission is $5.00 per person (children 2 and under are free). The miniature village takes on a harvest festival theme and provides activities and fun for the entire family in a SAFE ENVIRONMENT.  Over 2,500 people are expected to join in the festivities hosted by guest celebrities from News10 and Mix 96. Activities for the day include performances by magician Trevor Wyatt and other stage shows and demonstrations. There will also be music, games, food, prizes, face painters, raffles and much more. Kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume and take part in the Costume Parade.  The first Halloween Haunt was produced in 1991 as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating.  Since then, the event has grown tremendously in size and popularity.  Halloween Haunt is a great family event that offers fun and entertainment for all ages.  Proceeds benefit Safetyville USA, a private, not-for-profit children’s safety training center.  For more information call (916) 366-7233 ext. 202.
