Our training
programs are designed to equip instructor candidates with the
knowledge and experience to be effective trainers.

Safety Center Incorporated is proud
to be in partnership with Cal/OSHA Consultation in the creation of
our Cal/OSHA-8 program. the program was developed to address high
accident rates in the construction industry. Since its inception,
the Cal/OSHA-8 program has trained over 1,000 workers, supervisors
and foremen. We have 5 master trainers and over 50 trainers
throughout California and the United States.
Safety Center Incorporated has several new trade specific programs
under development. Residential Framing is our first trade specific
program. Look for roofing, electrical, masonry and plumbing in 2008! |

Overview: |

Safety Center Incorporated developed this program
in partnership with Cal/OSHA. It is a core safety program for commercial construction, covering the Eight Elements of the Injury
and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). An integral part of this
program is discussing Hazard Recognition (Find) and Hazard
Correction (Fix). Each instructor candidate will receive an Instructor's
Manual with instructor notes for the program, PowerPoint presentations
and interactive exercises, a "Cab of the Truck" sample
full of resource materials, and a Cal/OSHA/Safety Center certificate
and card. |

Overview: |

This is a discussion-based
program reviewing course curriculum, updates and regulatory changes.
Issues encountered while training in the field, such as, communication
problems, language barriers and testing concerns will be discussed
as well. Students will receive updated course materials after the
course is completed.
All certified instructors must take this course within
one (1) year of completing the Cal/OSHA-8 Train the Trainer course
to retain Cal/OSHA-8 Instructor status. After the initial one-year
recertification, Instructor cards will remain valid for three (3)
years. |

This is a one day overview of the Confined Space Awareness course.
This class provides greater detail regarding Cal-OSHA regulations,
equipment
requirements,
and course development. Students receive instructor manual, full
transparencies and slide set. The manual includes course objectives
such as how to
introduce codes, identifying confined spaces, hazards, equipment & procedures,
Cal-OSHA responsibilities and preparation of personnel for entry and
rescue. The manual
also provides lesson plans for instructor candidate use. |
