Cal/OSHA’s Title 8 Construction Safety Orders Section 1599 (f) requires flaggers to be trained in the proper fundamentals of flagging moving traffic before being assigned as flaggers. Safety Center Incorporated offers temporary traffic control and flagging courses for employees.

Safety Center Incorporated’s Traffic Control/Flagging program incorporates the new California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (FHWA’s MUTCD 2003 Edition, as amended for use in California).

The course covers warning sign placement, proper fundamentals of flagging moving traffic and signaling directions used by flaggers.

The initial course is a 7-hour program with Completion of Training cards. The refresher course is 4 hours. This course is presently offered as an on-site course.

The course will be offered for open enrollment at our Sacramento Campus

To enroll in an open enrollment course at Safety Center Incorporated, please contact our Open Enrollment Coordinator at (800) 825-7262 x219 or Email the Safety Center.
