Mature Driver 8-hour and 4.5-hour refresher classes cover:

Defensive driving techniques – maintaining a safe following distance; driving on freeways, in city traffic & on rural roads Danger zones – hazards in intersections & making left turns; preventing blind spots; backing up & parking safely Current California traffic laws – cell phones, child restraints New safety features – air bags, car and mirror adjustments Adapting to the effects of aging – physical changes include vision, reaction time, range of motion, hearing & medication
