About the Alive At 25 Teen Program:

This highly interactive four-hour traffic safety survival course is specifically designed for 16 to 24 year old drivers--the group most likely to be hurt or killed in a vehicle crash. More than 400,000 young adults have learned life-saving defensive driving skills through Alive at 25 since 1995. National Safety Council developed the course to prevent traffic collisions, fatalities, and violations. Our instructors use workbook exercises, interactive media segments, group discussions, role-playing activities, short lectures, and guest speakers to help young drivers develop convictions and strategies that will keep them safer on the road.

Alive at 25 teaches young drivers to take control of situations by taking responsibility for their own driving behavior. In a recent study by the Colorado State Patrol, 93% of Alive at 25 participants said they would change their driving behavior after going through the program. Alive at 25 helps young drivers see the real consequences of their choices, from losing a license and/or insurance coverage to losing relationships, mobility, or even their lives. Courts and schools nationwide use Alive at 25 in their violator programs.

About the Alive At 25 Parent Program:

The Alive At 25 Parent Program helps parents develop safe, responsible teen drivers. Teens are at the highest risk of being in a crash in the first 12 months after being licensed due to inexperience and driver error. This three-hour interactive program was designed by the National Safety Council to provide practical advice and to encourage parent-teen cooperation from the learning to drive phase through to learning appropriate defensive driving skills.

Alive At 25 Parent Program uses discussions, exercises and video to help parents understand the unique risks and hazards the our teens face and their role as a partner process. It reviews the Graduated Drivers Licensing restrictions and California traffic laws that impact teenagers. Setting expectations and holding teens and parents accountable by creating an effective driver contract.
