Room Set-up for Education Session:

Room may be set up theater-style.

Key Points:

• State Objectives

The objective of each group is stated at the very beginning. Please make sure to review your material and have study guide ready in order to prepare for your group, adequately

• Set Atmosphere

Set an atmosphere of acceptance, non-judgment and respect for all the group. This will make clients feel more at-ease, more ready to talk and share ideas and learn.

• Participant’s expectations and responsibilities

Full participation in the program is required of all clients. If the right atmosphere is set, clients will want to participate. Please keep in mind that not everyone is able to share his/her innermost thoughts and feelings. This is not therapy; this is a Drinking Driver Program.

• At the end of each session

Summarize and highlight the points discussed.
