Chaplain Mindi served at Ground Zero
in New York City with the N.T.S.B. S.A.I.R. Team, in partnership with
the American Red Cross, immediately after the terrorist attacks of
September 11th, 2001.
In addition, she has implemented and
continues to teach at law enforcement academies for outside agencies,
recruit spouse and family academies, as well as ongoing, yearly law
enforcement and community chaplain’s academies for her agency. Along
with her P.O.S.T.- certified instructor’s credentials to teach at local
and outside law enforcement agencies, she is a motivational speaker who
provides training nationally. In April 2002, she received the National
Crime Victim Service Award from President George W. Bush and Attorney
General John Ashcroft. This prestigious award is the highest federal
honor for victim advocacy.
Chaplain Mindi is a member of the
U.S. Department of Justice's, Office for Victims of Crime, Training and
Technical Assistance Center. This Consortium of victim assistance
experts represents the full spectrum of victim services and works to
address the needs of underserved victims and faith - based communities.
The Consortium creates meaningful, proactive partnerships to work on the
emerging priorities in such topical areas as human trafficking,
terrorism and mass violence and community disasters.
