Richard "Rick" Hight, OHST

Associate Safety Engineer, HQ CalOSHA Consultation Service

Rick Hight is an Associate Safety Engineer in the headquarters of the Cal/OSHA Consultation Service. He came to Cal/OSHA in 2001, after retiring as Chief of Safety at the Sacramento Air Logistics Center, at McClellan Air Force Base. As Safety Program Manager, he directed a safety program that affected over 16,000 civilian and military personnel.

Mr. Hight is a Certified Occupational Safety and Health Technologist, has a California Community College Teaching Credential in both fire science and industrial safety, and is a past faculty member of American River College, Sacramento, CA.
